Privacy, in plain English

Short version: if you join the list, we keep your email so we can send you your result and occasional useful notes. That is it. We do not sell it, and you can leave anytime.

What we collect, and why

  • Your email address, so we can send your profile and the occasional note. You give this only when you tick the consent box and submit the form.
  • A timestamp and your consent, so we have a record that you opted in and when.
  • A one-way hashed version of your IP address, used only to slow down spam and abuse. We do not store your raw IP, and the hash cannot be turned back into it.
  • Which page the signup came from (for example, the quiz), so we know what is helpful.

Your quiz answers are worked out on your own device to show your result. We do not need them and we do not send them to a server.

Where it lives

Your email sits in our own database, which we control. We do not hand your address to a third-party marketing company. If we ever use a service to actually send email, we will use one that keeps your data private and lets you unsubscribe in one click.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe anytime. Every email we send will have a one-click way out.
  • Ask to be deleted. Email us and we remove you from the database.
  • Ask what we hold. Email us and we will tell you and send you a copy.

Cookies and tracking

We keep this light. Your reading preferences (text size, legible font, focus mode) are stored in your own browser so the site remembers them, and they never leave your device. If we ever add basic, privacy-respecting analytics, we will note it here.
